THIS IS AN INSIDERS REVIEW ABOUT MIT PUNE.(ALL THE INFO IS LATEST 2013).
FACTS ABOUT THIS INSTITUTE THAT YOU ARE SURELY NOT AWARE OF!!
1. The institute charges DOUBLE THE FEES than any other piping institute in INDIA.(RS-1,20,000)
2. They claim to take a course of 6 months but effectively they provide training for 3.5 months.Effectively only 80 days maximum.
3. The lady at the desk or on the phone who receives your call will tell you that mit provides 99% placement.Thats JUST A BUNCH OF LIES.Don’t fall for such lies.
4. MIT COULD ONLY PROVIDE 20 TO 30 PERCENT PLACEMENT SINCE 2009 TO 2013.
5. THEY HAVE NEVER COMPLETED THEIR SYLLABUS TILL TODAY.SO DON’T GET IMPRESSED BY THE SYLLABUS SHEET.
6. THE COURSE COORDINATOR(WHO SELECTS THE TEACHERS) HAS NO KNOWLEDGE OR EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION RELATED TO ENGINEERING OR SCIENCES.
7. The placement co-ordinater WILL KEEP LYING THROUGHOUT THE COURSE REGARDING HUGE PLACEMENTS in future.
8)They have only 5 computers on WHICH THEY WILL BE TEACHING PDMS AND CAESAR 2(software training gets over in 15days).
9)THEY DON'T EVEN HAVE A PERMENANT OFFICE FOR TAKING CLASSES,they occupy the classroom of MIT school of govt.
10)Half of the chairs in the class-room are broken the AC was never repaired.

A FEW WORDS OF WISDOM ABOUT THEIR NOTES:-
1)The notes of MIT piping PUNE SUCKS big time..They teach more of process engineering than PIPING.
2)THEY HAVE PUT IRRELEVANT MATERIAL IN THE NOTES LIKE THE COOLING SYSTEMS IN AUTOMOBILE ENGINES(WTF!!)
3)THEIR SYLLABUS COPY IS JUST FOR SHOW..

Please note that this blog is only meant to bring out the truth about the piping course conducted by MIT, Pune. We have no complaints regarding the college or any other courses conducted by MIT, Pune.
MIT-piping is managed by an entirely different team of people. MIT-Piping has got its reputation because they have the brand name of MIT. We were also tricked because of the same reason.
MIT-Pune is a very reputed college with good records but as far as piping course is considered its not satisfactory.
Conclusion-Don’t join MIT piping pune and waste your money.Join other institutes for Piping design like “ASIAN ACADEMY”
“SUVIDYA” which provides better notes and better lecturers.

2)TRY TO GET ASIAN ACADEMY NOTES FOR MATERIAL SELECTION OF PIPING AND LAYOUT engineering(2 seperate books).
3)Download "PROCESS PLANT LAYOUT AND PIPING DESIGN" BY ROGER HUNT.
4)TRY TO GET A COPY OF "ROY A PARISHER" FOR PIPING DRAFTING AND DESIGN.
